Teams
Our 22 classes form three teams in 2024. Tu Tangata, Tangaroa and Nikau are the team names for home rooms and our Specialist Team is known as Kahukura. We will update Google classroom links here as Term 1 progresses.
Students:
Check your WIS email for your class code.
If you can't find your class code, email your teacher. Link not working? Info here
You will only be able to access your own classroom.
Parents:
Please be aware that our school internet safety systems only restrict students' access to websites when they are using our wifi at school. Students will be able to access whatever internet sites your modem at home allows. You can use the same N4L internet filters that we use at school for free. Instructions at https://switchonsafety.co.nz/
Specialist Subject Google Classrooms
You can join a specialist classroom, even if you have not yet been to that class.
You will find a link in your email with the join codes for each class.

Google Classroom link not working?
You need the join code to join the classroom for the first time.
Sometimes links don't work from home as they pick up your family's personal browser settings.
To get around this, go to www.google.com and sign in with your Waimea Intermediate account, then go to the waffle (9 squares) at the top right hand corner of the screen and choose Classroom.
You will see all the Google Classrooms that you belong to there.
